Update 3rd October

Welcome to another edition of Tadhg TV and this week it is brought to you by Sonny and Florence O'Connor

My name is Sonny and I'm 3. My favourite programme is 'Hungry Bear Tales' on RTE Jr at 1pm. There are lots of different bears and they are always hungry. Sometimes they make mistakes and trouble trying to get the food. I eat my yoghurt when I watch it and it makes me laugh. I just like it because I do and I don't like films.

I'm Florence and I'm 5 years old. I love watching 'True' on Netflix. She has a friend named Cumulo who is a cloud and Barnaby is a navy cat. He hates water, the same as real cats. True lives with Barnaby and Cumulo lives with his cloud family up in the sky because he is a cloud. They rescue people in all the episodes. I love it because its fun to watch and I sing with the music.

Now weren't they very special reviews - well done to Sonny and the Florence on doing such a great job.

All the best ... Tiger

Update 26th September

Welcome to another Tadhg TV takeover

So it is my pleasure to hand you over to Hallie and little Tommy Commons.

My name is Hallie Commons. I am 8 years old. I will be 9 next month. One of my favourite programmes on Netflix is called  “Nailed It”. It’s a baking show, the contestants make cakes and whoever “Nails it” and makes the best cake wins the money.

When I am allowed to, I love to watch a YouTube channel called “Funnell Vision” They are a family and they upload videos of themselves every day. They live in America and they go on lots of trips like Hawaii, Disney World and Legoland. I like watching to see what they get up to. My favourite singer and dancer is JoJo Siwa and I also love Hannah Montana.

I am Tommy and I am 6 years old. I like watching “Sponge Bob SquarePants”. SpongeBob lives under the sea. Patrick is his best friend and Squidward is also his friend. SpongeBob works in the Crusty Crab he makes Crabby Patties and cleans up and he chats to Squidward over the counter. SpongeBob is a funny show because he is a sponge and he can suck up water and change his body into different shapes like triangles and squares.

My favourite movie is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This movie is about a little boy and his family. They are poor. He buys a Wonka bar with money that he found in the snow. He wins a golden ticket inside the Chocolate bar. He gets to go to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory tour, inside the factory it is weird and wonderful. The other kids who won the tour were bad children and end up in bad places. At the end Charlie was the best child and gets to live in the factory happily ever after.

As you can see the kids did a fantastic job ... Well done ...

This week the Kennedy family are taking over, so I am now going to hand ya over to the kids for some great recommendations.

Róise
Age 8
I have 3 favourite TV shows:
1. Alexa and Katie (Netflix)
This is about a girl living with leukaemia (Alexa) and her best friend Katie. It is very funny. My favourite character is Alexa.

2. JoJo Siwa (YouTuber)
JoJo Siwa is a YouTuber. I love all of her shows & her bows. She is also a singer.

3: The Thundermoms (Nickelodeon)
The Thundermans is a Nickelodeon TV Show on Netflix. It's about a family of superheroes who moved to a new town to live normal lives. My 2 favourite characters are Phoebe and Nora.
And I forgot 1 more... Grace's world on YouTube. It is really funny as she makes little movies with Barbie's. There is a new video every week. It is very funny. Even Mom & Dad really like this one!

Caitlín Kennedy
Age 10
I don't really like watching TV but there are 2 things I like to watch.

1: F2 Freestylers ultimate soccer skills channel. The "F2 Freestylers" are a soccer duo formed by Jeremy Lynch and Billy Wingrove. They are semi-pro footballers from England. I think they are very good YouTubers because they do skill schools. They are very interesting.

2: Modern Family (Amazon Prime/Netflix)
I LOVE Modern Family because it is really funny and entertaining. It is an American TV show about life of a big family in LA. I really recommend it. My favourite character is Lily. We ALL love watching this. Dad loves Phil & Mom loves Cam & Gloria. Róise's favourite is Alex.

Ruadhán Kennedy

I mostly watch YouTube apart from Modern Family!

2: YouTube - Virgin Media: Ant & Decs Saturday Night Takeaway - Ant & Dec play games, chat to celebrities & my favourite is when they prank people by going undercover.

3: RTE 2 - RTE Player. Euro 88. RTE look back on Ireland's performance in the 1988 European Championship in West Germany. I loved looking back at the old footage.

Tá muid ag súil GO MÓR le peil, iománaíocht & camógaíocht beo a bheith ar ais go luath ar an Teilifís... Go háirithe .. Daidí !!!!!  Níl aon "jobs" fágtha timpeall an tí!!!!

Update 13th June

This week's TV recommendations come from the Spellman family which of course includes my little legend of a godchild Eimear

Aideen Spellman (Age 7)
Ever After High (Netflix)– There are lots of different characters in this based on fairy tales and fantasy stories.  My favourite is Briar Beauty, she is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and best friend of Apple White.  She plans great parties and can hear for miles but only when she’s asleep!

Eimear Spellman (Age 6)
Hannah Montana (Disney Plus) – Hannah Montana was my cousin Grace Flanagan’s favourite programme when she was younger.  Only 2 of her friends know she is Hannah Montana and everybody else in school thinks she’s ordinary Miley!  She sings in concerts and lives in America. She is 16

Louise Kennedy (Age 29)
The Weather Forecast (Every channel and App)

Shane Spellman (Age 36)
Constant flicking the remote control (every channel on TV, Netflix, Now TV, Disney Plus)

Now wasn't that just brilliant
And not only did the girls write a review
They also drew these lovely pictures, which are class

That's it for this week
All the best

Update 23rd May

Welcome to another Tadhg TV
This week Paul Carroll and his sister Rachel are taking over the blog

Paul’s choice (age 8)
Space Jam - Netflix
love this film and it taught me about lots of sports.
I love Michael jordan and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
Michael jordan is a basketball player and he is in The Last Dance too.
He is very strong and I like his slam dunks and shooting baskets.
Bugs bunny and his pals play a game of basketball against aliens.
It was really funny. I think people that love sport would enjoy this film. I hope you all like it!

Rachel’s choice (age 11)
Horrible Histories - Netflix
A gory and gruesome guide to the past and with a talking rat as your host you could be in tears by the end of it. It’s history as you’ve never known it with all the horrible bits left in. A fun way to learn about the past as it spans from the Stone Age to World War Two. I think this is a funny and horrible Netflix series and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn about the past.

P.S. you might need a bucket for some parts 😋😋

Now as you can see the kids did a fantastic job ... Well done
More tadhg tv next week

Update 16th May

Welcome to another edition of Tadhg TV
This is another takeover week so I am now going to hand you over to this week's contributors

Freya Clarke 13 years old.

The Fuller House on Netflix
I started watching this when the COVID-19 lockdown started.  This programme is about a single mother to three children and her sister Stephanie.  Other key characters are her lifelong friend Kimmy Gibbler who is also a single mother and her teenage daughter who all live together at the Tanners’ childhood home in San Francisco, California.  It follows all these characters and their crazy lives daily.  I like the ending theme song to the episodes, it is called “Everywhere you look”

Carly Clarke 9 years old.

Victorious on Nickelodeon/Netflix
I started watching this programme when I was 7 years old.  It is about a sixteen-year-old girl singer, her name is Tori Vega and she attends Hollywood Arts High School with her friends and sister. Carly’s favourite actor is Cat (Ariana Grande) and she also likes her songs. The teenagers in school are always planning different activities.

Grace Clarke 6 years old.

Horrid Henry on Nickelodeon

This programme is about a very naughty boy called Henry who is always up to mischief.  Henry has a brother called Perfect Peter.  Henry is always getting into trouble at home and in school.  Henry and Peter are always fighting and of course, it is always Henry's fault.

Well that's it for this week as you the see the girls did fantastic !!

Stay safe everyone

Update 9th May

Welcome to another edition of tadhg TV
This week is brought to you by the O'SHAUGHNESSYs who each choose their favorite TV shows

Rory O'SHAUGHNESSY 8 years old.

Netflix
Fast & Furious Spy Racers
Rory loves anything fast!!!
This program is about four street racers with racing in their blood. They are all friends who are like family. They are up for any mission. They all stick together to keep each other safe. They are undercover spy racers and complete every mission they are given.

Lily O'Shaughnessy 10 years old

BBC
Hetty Feather
This program is from 1800. It’s about a young servant girl who lost all her family. She had to make her own way in life at the tender age of 15. She went to work in a big house as a servant. The lady of the house sadly passed away during childbirth which put a gloomy cloud over the house and Hetty got sacked. Now Hetty has to try and find a job with a place to live.
We need to watch the next episode to find out how Hetty got on.
I have also read “Hetty Feather” by Jacqueline Wilson which I really enjoyed.

Ruby O Shaughnessy 7 years old

Netflix
Barbie Dreamhouse adventures

Ruby always loves playing with her Barbies.
Barbie lives in a lovely dream house that we all would love to live in. She has fantastic clothes that all girls would love. She goes on great adventures.

Well done on some great reviews
I also have a lovely drawing from Maude Hennessy and as you can see it's darkness into light and I was reliably informed including a pink moon

That's it for this week stay safe and look after yourselves

Update 25th April

Hello and your very welcome to tadhg tv. This week I am handing over control to Zoe Kearney who is 13 and little Eoin Kearney who is the big 9.

Zoe picked :

Netflix
Alexa and Katie
This is a very good show about a girl who gets cancer and how her best friend helps her through it

RTE
Wednesday 9.35
Operation Transformation
I think this programme Very entertaining and funny also its good to see different people coping and seeing their routine during the lockdown

Eoin picked the following :

Netflix
The Main Event.
I really enjoyed this movie about a little boy who finds a magic mask which made him very strong so he becomes a wrestler and his name is Kid Chaos. His main rival is a big fella called Samson who's manager puts slippy stuff on the floor but Kid makes it through to the final which is in a cage but before the match Samson's manager swops the mask.
You will have to watch the movie to see how it ends !!

Netflix
Shaun the Sheep
Now its Shaun the sheep as Eoin's second recommendation apparently the sheep are making pizza in the first episode - I seriously doubt they turn out great

That's it for this week folks
A massive thank you to Zoe and Eoin
Who did fantastically
All the best

Update 11th April

It's another Tadhg tv takeover this week, so Nicole Scally is taking over the blog. Nicole is in 6th class

Hello everyone, I hope you are all safe and well. I was asked to do a bit for Tadhg TV. So here it is and some TV I highly recommend.

Aliens in the Attic
This is one of my favourites and it’s a good watch for all the family. Two families go to a holiday home, but to their surprise, there are ‘Aliens in the Attic’. You won't regret giving this one a watch! You can watch this on Sky.

Cheaper by the Dozen 2
This is another one of my favourites and one you should definitely give a go! A family of 12 head to a lake for the summer but let’s just say it’s not all plain sailing!! This is a follow on from Cheaper by the Dozen which is also a great watch. You’ll find them both on Disney plus.

47 Metres Down
Now this one might not be for the faint-hearted! Two girls head down in a cage to shark-infested waters. Little do they know it's not as easy to get back up!! This is quite a gruesome one! It's available to download on Sky.

Back of the Net
This one is quite the laugh and very enjoyable for all soccer players. A girl is on her way to a marine biology camp when she boards the wrong bus and ends up at an elite soccer camp and has no clue how to play! You’ll find this one on Netflix.

Thanks Tadhg for asking me to do these reviews. I really enjoyed it. Hope you all enjoy the movies as much as I did. Stay Safe, Byeeeeeee.
Nicole Scally.

Brilliant stuff Nicole as I knew it would be,
But I also have an awesome drawing by little jack Kiernan who is the big 7.
He loves Disney plus like all of us, so he decided to draw his favorite cartoon characters.

That's it for this week. Stay safe and stay indoors
Thanks again to the 2 little legends

Update 4th April

This week its Tadhg TV takeover week!!
So I am going to hand you over to Kyran Downes
Who is in 5th class and a little legend. He is one of my many honorary nephews.
So over to you Kyran

Howya all, hope ye are keeping well Tadhg asked me to do a few reviews and it sounded class so here a few that I think are worth a watch.

Strong
It’s an American programme that I was hooked on, I loved it, personal trainers take a partner and every week they face off. If you lose in a challenge you are sent home. In my opinion its class, it’s on Netflix so no one will be stopping you watching it

Jumanji
It’s a movie with two of my favourite actors Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson or the Rock it’s a good movie and its worth a watch and this one is also on Netflix

The Simpsons
Sky always seems to have the Simpsons on and when you are awful bored its always there for a good laugh. And who doesn’t like the Simpsons

Room To Improve
Dermot Bannon hosts the programme and It's surprisingly interesting it’s on Virgin Media 1

Thanks Tadhg for asking me to do this ... Bye and wash your hands.

Top lad Kyran that was brilliant
But  you are been spoiled this week
Because I also have a fantastic drawing of Bart Simpson himself by another little legend and honorary nephew Daithi McKeon

Thanks again to the 2 little legends

Update 19th January

Saturday
Utv 7pm
The Masked Singer

Sunday
BBC 1 7.10
Doctor Who
This is certainly a tadhg TV favorite now it was on last year and I was confused because I thought there was no one playing doctor in the show but then in the last episode, I finally copped there was a female doctor and I must admit she is a very good doctor too.  The legend Bradley Walsh is in it as well ...Will the doctor and gang escape the Daleks? Well, the chase is on.

This is a brand new show about the rise of Bumpy Johnston. Who of course was the predesaser to the American gangster himself Frank Locus

I enjoy this show because its  a good laugh
